Complementing her clinical psychology training, Anju holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Social Work and Counseling Practice from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery—one of Kerala’s premier institutions in social work education. She has also pursued additional training in Counseling Practices and Introduction to Psychology through globally recognized platforms like Coursera, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional development.
Anju brings a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and client-centered approach to therapy. She is experienced in both individual and group counseling, offering tailored interventions to support clients in areas such as:
- Emotional distress and stress management
- Anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues
- Family therapy and relationship conflicts
- Geriatric and elder counseling
- Support for grief, loss, and life transitions
- Group psychoeducation and resilience building
- Behavioral therapy techniques and recovery planning
Her work is informed by evidence-based practices, including elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), crisis intervention models, and holistic mental wellness approaches. She strongly believes in empowering individuals to become active participants in their healing journey.
Ms. Anju’s professional journey is marked by a balance of clinical exposure, field counseling, and multicultural life experience. She currently serves as a Consulting Psychologist at Ojus Clinic, Ernakulam, where she supports individuals facing psychological, emotional, and relational challenges. Her responsibilities include individual counseling, mental health assessments, and helping clients create sustainable coping strategies.
In her earlier training and internships, Anju contributed as a Trainee Counsellor at reputed institutions such as:
- Stella Maris Hospital, Kochi – where she worked on clinical case assessments, conducted therapeutic sessions via phone, video call, and in-person modes, and created client-specific counseling plans.
- St. Jude Family Counseling Centre, Kochi – where she assisted individuals and couples in resolving personal, familial, and marital challenges.
- Rajagiri DDUGKY Counseling Division – where she worked with youth and community members, offering life-skills counseling, behavioral interventions, and emotional support.
- Roldantz Global, Kochi – where she participated in over 390 hours of supervised counseling, both in individual and group formats, gaining deep insight into therapy dynamics, treatment planning, and ethical practice.
Her experience also includes conducting psychosocial assessments, evaluating patients through interviews, and creating detailed case records—critical skills that strengthen her clinical decision-making and intervention strategies.
In addition to her clinical background, Anju brings seven years of international experience from her role as a Mentor and Language Interpreter in Tokyo, Japan. This exposure has made her uniquely skilled in working with culturally diverse clients, and enhances her ability to offer therapy that is sensitive to cultural nuances, language barriers, and cross-border family dynamics.
She has also worked in client-facing roles such as Travel Coordinator and Tourist Guide, where she developed excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities—traits she now uses to create a safe, welcoming space for her therapy clients.
Ms. Anju’s approach to mental health is holistic, collaborative, and rooted in empathy. She views therapy not just as a way to “fix” problems, but as an empowering process of emotional discovery, resilience-building, and personal growth. She believes that mental health care should be accessible, non-judgmental, and deeply personalized to suit each person’s lived experience, emotional readiness, and cultural background.
Her work often extends to family systems, helping clients understand how emotional patterns, communication styles, and past experiences influence present behavior. Her sessions are informed by mindfulness, active listening, and a strong ethical compass.
